My client is a market-leading, multi billion quantitative hedge fund looking for a C++ Software Engineer to join their team to help build out their trading and risk systems. You will be working in a Core Business Unit, which is pivotal to the operations of the fund. You will be developing and maintaining existing codebases for the trading platform, risk system and trading and market data scenarios.

My client is a market-leading, multi billion quantitative hedge fund looking for a C++ Software Engineer to join their team to help build out their trading and risk systems. You will be working in a Core Business Unit, which is pivotal to the operations of the fund. You will be developing and maintaining existing codebases for the trading platform, risk system and trading and market data scenarios.

 

You will be joining a team of seasoned Software Developers, coming from a wide range of interdisciplinary academics from top universities. The team operates in a flat collaborative environment, and you will get the chance to work with teams globally. Skills:

 

  • Technical education including an Undergraduate or Advanced STEM Degree
  • Exceptional C++ skills, with at least 2 years experience in a professional environment
  • Strong experience of using a Linux platform, with multithreading, serialization, networking and IPC
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Desirable skills:

  • Experience building and developing trading systems
  • Domain knowledge in any asset class i.e. FX, Fixed Income, Equities, Credit etc
  • Experience with building clean library abstractions and APIs targeting Windows and Linux platforms
  • Experience working with libraries and utilities for logging, serialization, metrics capture and inter-process communication
  • Intellectual curiosity
  • Outstanding analysis/problem-solving skills
