Great opportunity to work in a US Investment Bank, onboarding experience is key for this role.

Responsibilities
• Conducting AML Client On-boarding due diligence (SDD, CDD or EDD) at take on and for periodic reviews and trigger events. Activities include:
o Performing an AML risk assessment on new and existing clients to determine risk level and documentation level
o Obtaining appropriate documentation from public sources or from the client
o Screening for sanctions, PEPs and adverse media
o Updating and maintaining the central client database
o Sending client acceptance documentation
o Liaising with the settlements department to set up new clients for trading
• Performing client categorisation review for all new clients
• Reviewing ongoing screening alerts for sanctions, PEPs and adverse media hits and appropriately escalate to Compliance
• Tracking daily workload and outstanding requests and alerts.
• Contributing to process writing and process enhancements
• Generating and presenting MI to Compliance and Senior Management
• Acting as a KYC subject matter expert for the business


Skills Required:
• At least 12 months experience in a BAU Client On-boarding role dealing with all levels of due diligence (incl. EDD)
• In depth knowledge of UK Money Laundering Regulations 2017, JMLSG guidance, sanctions regimes, and FCA / MiFID client categorisation rules.
• Broad understanding of the financial services industry and the role of AML prevention in a wider context.
• Knowledge of AML and sanctions screening systems
• Ability to analyse, evaluate and mitigate the money laundering and sanctions risks in the business
• Strong attention to detail, flexible working approach, and calm logical thinking style
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong excel skills
• Knowledge of Capital Markets and Investment Banking desirable
