This is a dynamic role in a key area of the business. The Client Service Specialist is both the daily representative of the business to it’s clients and the client’s advocate internally within the business. Successful candidates will need to be able to demonstrate an understanding and appreciation of institutional client service, strong organisation skills, a broad understanding of investment management and a proactive and team-focussed attitude.

This role will sit within the UK Segregated Client Service team, with a named book of client responsibilities across various strategies



  • Respond promptly and professionally to day-to-day and ad hoc client and consultant requests.
  • Project manage the transition of client assets to and from the business.
  • Working with the legal teams, front office and fund management teams and internal operations counterparts.
  • Be responsible for project managing any change to client’s investment guidelines throughout the life of their mandate with the business from initial conversation through to execution and dissemination.
  • Manage ad hoc requests effectively. Identify a clear date for response and ensure that we meet the deadline. Escalate or re-communicate, as appropriate.
  • Attend client events, where appropriate, to support the CD and build an independent relationship with key counterparts at the client.
  • Contribute to the creation and delivery of bespoke investment reporting where appropriate.
  • Work with internal colleagues and clients to ensure ongoing regulatory obligations are met


Experience & skills required

  • Knowledge of institutional markets, including defined benefit pension schemes, insurance companies, corporates and third party distributors
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident, credible and capable in meetings and discussions at all levels internally and externally
  • Ability to organise, prioritise and multi task effectively in a busy and dynamic environment
  • Demonstrable ability to problem solve to ensure projects are completed on time
  • Demonstrable interest in investment strategies
  • Proven effective use of resources
  • Qualified at IAQ and IMC level or above
