Cloud Site Reliability Engineer

What you will do

As a Cloud SRE, you will develop and leverage tools to manage the global bank's multi public cloud infrastructure via code.

You will design architectural blueprints and configuration templates that are used to provision infrastructure components (i.e., AWS EFS, EC2, RDS, etc.) in a scalable manner that ensures compliance to corporate security and operating principles.

You will provide inputs to major architectural designs to ensure consistency, security, maintainability and flexibility with respect to the overall system architecture.

You will work with product architects to design highly scalable and automated deployments for a wide range of applications.

Once in production, you will help ensure that solutions are performant and operational SLAs are maintained, making recommendations to improve process efficiency and handling support escalations as needed.

Who you are

You have experience building infrastructure-centric applications using contemporary languages (e.g., Python, Golang), and have experience integrating with third party APIs.

You're highly familiar with core provider services from AWS, Azure and/or GCP, having built and managed large scale, production deployments on one or more of these platforms.

You have experience working with configuration management tools like Ansible at scale and are comfortable working with common software development tooling (Git, Jenkins, Spinnaker, etc)

You have experience scripting and creating configuration templates using provider native tools (e.g., AWS CloudFormation)

You have a good understanding of modern, cloud centric architectures and DevOps principles, and prefer working in an agile team model.

You are creative, energetic and passionate about how you can leverage technology to transform our industry.

You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or a related field, and 5+ years of experience, at least 2 of which has been in a role using AWS. Appropriate certification is strongly preferred.
