The primary responsibility of the Commission Analyst is to ensure that commission information is up to date and accurately calculate commissions for the sales team. The Commission Analyst will ensure that the personal information is up to date, liaising with Sales Management and HR. In addition ensuring that any Target changes are signed off and preserve integrity. They will also manually calculate any additional incentives (SPIFs) to ensure sales people are focused on the optimum behaviour. Generate and send commission information to payroll for payment

Strategy and Planning exists to support sales and the wider Wood Mackenzie organisation to achieve the strategy. Commissions sits at the intersection of Sales, Finance and HR and is pivotal in achieving the Company’s business goals.

 

Role Purpose 

The primary responsibility of the Commission Analyst is to ensure that commission information is up to date and accurately calculate commissions for the sales team. The Commission Analyst will ensure that the personal information is up to date, liaising with Sales Management and HR. Main Responsibilities

  • Own the Commissions dashboard design and support sales with training and queries
  • Responsible for the accurate and timely calculation of commissions
  • Ensure personal information, e.g. salary, plan etc. is up to date and accurate
  • Ensure target information is up to date and accurate across all systems
  • Ensure any changes to target information are processed, signed-off and uploaded
  • Run governance process and load any manual changes into the systems
  • Calculate Incremental incentives
  • Calculate non-core/standard commissions
  • Own and publish commission letters to sales people
  • Be part of the team that evolves the commission structure
  • Regularly report on commissions to senior management

 

Knowledge & Experience

Experience:

  • Experience with commissions or payroll functions
  • Demonstrated ability to work with multiple stakeholders (e.g. sales management) and internal customers (e.g. sales people) effectively
  • Experience in a global organisation
  • Demonstrated experience of maintaining a system (e.g. Xactly)
  • Demonstrated understanding of B2B sales process and pricing
  • Salesforce (or other CRM) experience from a user and back-office perspective
    • Product or process ownership and improvement
