Commodities and Global Markets - Contract Manager

We are looking for a Contract Manager to take responsibility for oil, petroleum and metal (re)purchases and sales

Commodities and Global Markets provides clients with an integrated, end-to-end offering across global markets including equities, fixed income, foreign exchange and commodities.

This exciting and immediate vacancy is an opportunity for you to assume responsibility for administering crude oil, petroleum products and metals and repurchase purchase and sales commercial agreements relating to international sales and other transactions undertaken in the EMEA region.

Duties will include preparing, reviewing, negotiating, routing for approval of commodity purchase and sale confirmations, exchange and buy/sell confirmations and confidentiality agreements. You will also ensure that all contracts and confirmations are in compliance with internal contract procedures and have the proper internal approvals. Tracking of the status of commodity contracts and confirmations, as well as guarantees, confidentiality agreements, and other documents related to the transaction, during and after the negotiation process.

This is a broad and varied role that will mean you interacting with commercial, legal, tax, market operations, compliance, credit, and risk management groups in order to ensure that all contractual risks are identified and addressed.

You will need to have an eye for detail and a good level of knowledge of contract drafting in respect of the physical commodities referred to above. A genuinely appealing vacancy for a graduate or equivalent with a strong background in the physical trading industry experience that includes negotiating and administering crude oil and/or oil products and/or metals purchase and sale agreements, exchanging buy/sell agreements, and offtake agreements.
