Communications Executive - Asset Management

Within the team you’ll work closely with the Corporate Communications PR Mangers in the UK to support their efforts of strengthening the firm’s profile in the UK and Europe.

This would be a great chance for someone looking grow their knowledge within public relations, but you will ideally have already worked in a similar role for a at least one year. Any knowledge of working within or on behalf of an asset management organisation would be a great advantage. However, if you have experience of working within wider financial services or for a global organisation, this would also be considered.

Some of the responsibilities will include:

• Spot opportunities to respond to market/industry news for key spokespeople internally to comment on
• Offer local PR advice to leaders throughout Europe
• Support the European corporate communications desk in London which will include recording all media activity for audit purposes, deal with incoming press enquiries promptly, support press events etc.
• Flag negative coverage and crises issues as appropriate and assist in coordinating responses

The background of the ideal candidate:

• Experience of working within PR ideally within Asset Management
• Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Journalism or Communications; or equivalent work experience
• Strong understanding of strategic communication
• Excellent interpersonal skill with the ability to be assertive and relentless in the pursuit of getting news appropriate attention among the media and the public
• Excellent writing and editing skills with experience in writing press releases, newsletters, memos
