A London-based Private Equity boutique with a focus spanning Europe is seeking to appoint a Compliance Manager.

Our client seeks a Compliance Manager to work within the regulatory framework of a small, dynamic team. The successful candidate will be a self-starter, have excellent quantitative, communication and organisational skills, be presentable and liaise with clients and investee funds from our office in central London. They offer attractive remuneration and possibility of advancement within the organisation. 
Summary of Responsibilities:

Working closely with the Finance and Investment Team and compliance and legal adviser. The successful candidate will be responsible for and support the management with all day to day compliance, tax and legal matters. 
 Maintain an understanding of relevant regulatory requirements to provide advice and guidance to all levels of the company and handle day-to-day queries

 Develop policies and procedures that enable the business to comply with regulator

 Coordinate annual compliance training and other compliance training as required

 Provided timely advice on regulatory developments and their likely impact on the Company

 Work closely with management to maintain an appropriate compliance culture

 Respond to compliance related queries from counterparties and regulators

 Make any necessary regulatory reports or filings with regulators

 Analyse compliance issues for new activities / regions / markets

 Ensure that compliance procedures, systems and controls are up-to-date and effective

 Maintain the compliance manual and all compliance procedure documentation

 Oversee the maintenance of annual anti money laundering programme

 Own and manage all AML and KYC process for all key parties involved in the business

 Responsible for all legal matters of the group and advise the business on corporate legal issues

 Instruct and manage external counsel as and when required

 Lead legal and/or compliance projects as needed  
Candidate profile: 
 Self-motivated, analytical and enthusiastic team player with outstanding attention to detail and the ability to work on multiple tasks within tight deadlines as part of a small team

 Have between 3-5 years relevant compliance experience, ideally in the financial services sector 

 Qualified lawyer or accountant with significant legal and tax experience

 Excellent attention to detail
