SEI are looking to continue to expand our Fiduciary Management business in the UK so are now looking for a Consultant Relations Director. As one of the leading Fiduciary Management / Outsourced Chief Investment Officer (OCIO) providers with a reputation for innovation, we will look to you to make a real impact on increasing assets under management through promoting our solution to key intermediaries including Fiduciary Management Consultants and Professional Trustees.

Key Objectives:
› The management of existing relationships and the development of new relationships with Fiduciary Management consultants
› The management of existing relationships and the development of new relationships with Independent Trustees and other potential sources of referrals to institutional pension funds
› Identification and development of new potential lead sources
› The objective is to be given a “Buy” rating (or equivalent) from all potential lead sources that translates into new opportunities for the UK Institutional Sales team.
› Success in the role will represent an increasing quantity of new opportunities for the UK Institutional Sales team.

The main focus of the role will be to support the defined benefits sales team by developing leads from a variety of third party sources. This will include:
› Strategic responsibility for the relationship with Fiduciary Management consultants and other third part consultants that are potential sources of leads or referrals for SEI
› Manage responses to quarterly or regular questionnaires, RFPs from third party consultants, with the assistance of the institutional RFP team
› Proactively raise awareness of SEI’s proposition with independent trustees, including arranging and executing one-on-one and group meetings with existing and new contacts

› Attend networking and industry events in the pursuit of new lead generation opportunities.
› Ensure all the above efforts remain aligned to unit and SEI strategy.  
› Any other ad-hoc projects/duties as required.

› Keep current on market conditions, regulation, SEI products and services, etc;
› Adhere to all relevant FCA requirements and compliance

Technical Capabilities/Skills & Experience Required for the Role:
› Ability to demonstrate initiative and drive in establishing new relationships and managing and improving existing relationships
› Solid knowledge of the UK pensions market either from an investment, consulting or administration background.
› Degree educated (or equivalent) and further industry qualifications (IMC, CFA, etc.) would be advantageous
› A track record in business development, technical investment knowledge of a fiduciary management proposition and/or experience in managing relationships with third party consultants would be advantageous
› Exposure to developing strategic and innovative lead generation programs for an institutional client base.
› Expertise testing and analysing program effectiveness
› Committed to / interest in developing a career path within business development
› Outstanding communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
› The ability to build solid working relationships and influence and persuade at senior level (internal and external)
› Excellent Organization and project management skills
› Ethical and hardworking
› Decisive and results orientated
