The role is a full-time, fixed term contract position for 12 months. The successful candidate will work within the Control Team which comprises 10 people. The Control Team's key objective is to provide and maintain a controlled environment for the investment management process.

A London West End based Private Equity Firm with a focus on sustainable investments. Taking into account environmental, social and economic impact they focus on providing excellent returns whilst also helping bring capital markets into line with global sustainability efforts.


The Controls Associate will have the following key responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

Support in the day to day oversight of our operations outsource provider, whose services include Trade Administration, Portfolio Accounting, Performance and Client Reporting.

Ensuring accuracy of all positional data within our order management system (Charles River).

Providing support for the oversight of Funds and separate accounts that cover Global Equity, Asia Equity Private Equity, and Credit strategies from an operational perspective.

Assisting in the production of periodic client reporting deliverables, and ensuring all client reporting deliverables are met.

Covering client service responsibilities across our global client base.

Assisting with the monthly review of performance & fund accounting information.

Assisting the team with client Onboarding.

Assisting in team and firm wide projects required to maintain and develop the business infrastructure and processes. This will include:

o Client related projects to ensure the data integrity of the Client Relationship Management system (Salesforce) and well as process enhancements.

o Helping to structure how information is stored, processed and accessed on an internal Sharepoint based platform.


The successful Controls Associate will have the following skills and experience:

Extensive previous experience working in operational roles or similar environments.

Fund or portfolio accounting background/exposure preferred but not essential

A broad understanding of the operational processes and good knowledge of the compliance and regulatory requirements within the Investment Management Industry.

They will need to be a confident member of the team who can use their own initiative, but also have the ability to identify when to escalate issues for referral.

Job Offer

12 month Fixed term contract paying 60-80k.
