This is a newly set-up department of Lyca Group of Companies. The department currently comprises of two people (Group CEO and Advisor to the Group CEO). The Group CEO Office is the “think-tank” of the Group and is responsible for idea-generation, execution and implementation of all strategic and corporate finance matters globally.

The successful candidates will be assisting in all corporate finance areas: due diligence, reviewing/producing financial projections, preparing company valuations, producing and reviewing business plans and strategies, executing M&A transactions including acquisitions fundraising and IPOs.


As a small professional team, all members are utilised to help support all the team’s operations and a flat structure operates to assist individual development. The successful candidate will benefit from the immediate on the job experience that comes with working for this small dynamic department.


The role will include working in the following areas:


  • Strong financial modelling and valuation expertise - the role will require the individual to build detailed financial models for various uses but with the key focus on leverage finance and executing buy-side transactions. You will therefore be using Microsoft Excel to forecast cash flows, balance sheets and profit and loss statements;
  • Conduct scenario and sensitivity analysis to facilitate key decisions;
  • General corporate finance support in relation to identifying and executing buy-side transactions;
  • Prepare the financial model and associated presentations as required;
  • Carrying out background research and presenting findings;
  • Assist in business planning and strategy;
  • Assist in producing email responses, documents, briefing papers, reports and PowerPoint presentations including assisting with sending out NDAs to third-party advisors for execution;
  • Other ad hoc work for the Group CEO Office as required e.g. Make appointments/meetings; ensure manager/s are well-prepared for meetings;
  • Work closely with other departments and divisions of the Group;
  • Travelling with the manager to take notes at meetings or to provide general assistance during presentations;


Profile: Qualifications and Requirements

The successful candidate will have:

  • Minimum 2.1 degree classification
  • The ideal candidate will have 3 years’ experience from a leading UK accountancy firm
  • Advanced excel financial modelling skills with strong understanding of valuation techniques
  • Some corporate finance exposure required
  • Accountancy knowledge
  • Strong organisational skills, ability to prioritise work, multi task and work to tight deadlines
  • Strong PowerPoint skills – Must be able to use PowerPoint to a high-level
  • Excellent research skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills: Written and verbal communication
  • Team player but comfortable working on own initiative
  • IT literate with competency in MS Word and Excel etc.
