This is a role for somebody who first and foremost loves credit analysis and is excited about the opportunity to work for a hugely successful and entrepreneurial business that has a pretty much unique offering. The growth of my client’s business has been phenomenal over the last few years and now is the time to get on board. A strong interest / background in the music or sporting world would be a bonus. My client offers a unique proposition whereby they offer structured credit facilities / lending to clients within the music, entertainment or sporting world.

The Opportunity:

  • Working for this incredibly exciting boutique with a unique product / service proposition, you will play an integral part in the anticipated growth of the business which has already grown demonstrably since inception
  • Through your demonstrable passion for music and / or sport and / or entertainment, you will quickly become an "expert" on the nuances of these industries and be able to add value to the proposition through your knowledge and interest
  • Supporting the Senior members of the team, you will assist with origination opportunities in the Sports, Music, Entertainment & Lifestyle sectors, looking to develop and analyse initial due diligence to assess the credit worthiness of new deal opportunities
  • Through use of your strong financial modelling skills and comfort with analysing financial statements you will conduct robust credit research on potential borrowers and play a key part in deal structuring - sometimes very complex and in the majority of cases completely unique and "one offs". Whilst developing new skills and industry knowledge, you will be expected to rapidly grasp new deal structures and origination opportunities
  • You will be required to build and maintain relationships with high profile clients across the wide range of sectors (sport; music; entertainment) and "own" and support the deal until closure, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders and advisors, including lawyers etc.

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders & advisors, to assist with driving transactions through the deal process including presenting to the internal credit committee
  • Ensure all internal management systems are fully up-to-date and accurate for all transactions

Your Experience:

  • You may have come from the credit risk or leveraged finance / M&A / Corporate Finance team of an Investment Bank having joined on their Graduate Scheme, although, if you feel you have several years of relevant financial statement analysis / financial modelling experience from another background then please apply. It is important that you fit within the salary band of this role, so, if you have too much experience you are likely to be above this range and considered too experienced
  • Be able to demonstrate a clear passion for credit analysis. I keen interest in music and / or sport and / or entertainment will be helpful -  this would be the icing on the cake and perhaps give you an "edge"

  • Strong record of academic achievement with a drive to succeed in a credit role
  • High-level of business acumen and commerciality
  • Be interested in working for a unique business proposition - the key is a passion for credit analysis and a desire to work now for a very exciting, growing and entrepreneurial business that is set to have an amazing future
  • Possess a truly entrepreneurial approach to your work
  • A proactive attitude, an ability to think on your feet and work on unique deal propositions alongside the senior Credit Team members
