Tradition is the interdealer broking arm of Compagnie Financière Tradition and one of the world's largest interdealer brokers in over-the-counter financial and commodity related products. CFT is represented in over 28 countries, employing over 2,500 people.

Tradition is currently seeking to appoint a Credit Controller / Accounts Receivable individual to be based within the London office.

Main responsibilities within the Credit Controller / Accounts Receivable position include:

Collection of client debt for business entities
Reconciliation of outstanding debt
Apply excel skills to improve processes
Daily closing and reconciliation of cashbooks
Monthly closing off and setting up of cash books
Accurate allocation and posting of cash received
Discuss issues with clients, reason for debt, possible escalation with management
Maintain excellent client and internal relationships
Monthly delivery of invoicing for distribution
Maintaining monthly filing system
Liaison between other business entities
Liaising with brokers and clients over brokerage disputes
Daily checking of debtor postings to the GL
General administration duties
Any other reasonable duties

Key skills, experience and competencies required to be successful in this role:

Good Microsoft Office skills – strong excel essential (vlookup, sumif, pivots)

Good Literacy and Numeracy skills
Good Communications skills both verbally and written
Good Time Management skills
Previous experience working in a similar role
Good experience developing productive relationships
Audit experience & ability to help improve internal controls desirable
Good inter-personal skills
Knowledge of AS400 system beneficial
Data Inputting
Ability to communicate at the highest level
Retain a professional level under pressure
New process implementation would be an advantage
Prioritising & Organising daily schedule
