You'll play a key role in this. You'll monitor, implement and control non-retail credit risk (PD, LGD, EAD), counterparty credit, and market risk models. Ensuring that the models align to regulatory guidelines.

What you'll be doing

  • Implementing, controlling and monitoring credit risk and counterparty credit risk models.
  • Working effectively with all key internal risk and reporting teams to ensure effective control, oversight and compliance with regulatory rules and standards.
  • Defining model risk monitoring and performance assessment standards for non-retail credit risk models used for IFRS9 and IRB.
  • Managing the overall delivery and distribution of model risk performance reporting, to continually improve the way risk is managed.
  • Reviewing technical model documentation, acting as an SME for model risk management and control.
  • Responding to challenges and undertaking independent reviews of the bank's models
  • Engaging with regulators (i.e. ECB and PRA) and internal auditors on model risk management related topics.

What we're looking for

  • Experience of model risk management with strong focus on credit risk. Understanding of counterparty credit risk and market risk advantageous.
  • Demonstrating awareness and an up-to-date understanding of all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Self-starter who can work with minimum supervision and has brilliant stakeholder/project management skills.
  • Desire to work in a dynamic, team-oriented environment focusing on challenging tasks.
  • Ability to combine fundamental, quantitative and market-oriented knowledge and skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. Must be comfortable leading meetings and making formal presentations.

It would also be advantageous for you to have

  • Knowledge of Excel, VBA or Python
