This is a role for somebody who first and foremost loves credit analysis and is excited about the opportunity to work for a hugely successful and entrepreneurial business that has a pretty much unique offering. The growth of my client’s business has been phenomenal over the last few years and now is the time to get on board. You will possess excellent credit analysis experience and an in-depth knowledge of the complex music industry. You will understand the drivers of both music publishing revenues AND record label revenues, and knowledge of Royalties across radio / digital, streaming, public performance etc.

The Opportunity:

  • Working for this incredibly exciting boutique with a unique product / service proposition, you will play an integral part in the anticipated growth of the business which has already grown demonstrably since inception
  • Due to your demonstrable passion and inherent in depth knowledge of the music industry you will be the "expert" on the nuances of this industry and be able to add value to the business proposition through your knowledge and interest
  • Through use of your strong financial modelling skills and comfort with analysing financial statements you will assess potential transactions and opportunities in the Global Music industry and conduct robust credit research on potential borrowers and play a key part in deal structuring - sometimes very complex and in the majority of cases completely unique and "one offs" 
  • You will be required to build and maintain relationships with high profile clients across this complex sector and "own" and support the deal until closure, working closely with both internal and external stakeholders and advisors, including lawyers etc. and proactively drive transaction opportunities through the deal process. This will include presenting music deal opportunities to the internal credit committee and working with internal and external counsel to conduct legal due diligence on music contracts & draft legal documents
  • Build and maintain relationships with high-profile clients across the music sector
  • Ensure all internal management systems are fully up-to-date and accurate for all transactions within their pipeline
  • Lead, manage & mentor music specialist analyst team members

Your Experience:

  • Be able to demonstrate a clear passion for credit analysis and possess a very strong record of academic achievement within a numerical discipline, along with proven financial modelling skills
  • First-hand experience in structuring, analysing & closing transactions in the music industry
  • Strong understanding of the music sector; in particular Performance Rights Societies and music deal structures
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with high-profile clients across a range of seniorities
  • Strong ability to multi-task and simultaneously work on a number of transactions and projects
  • Strong time management & organisational skills and sound critical thinking skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong team player with excellent management skills
  • Knowledge and experience in working in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Writing and research skills
