Overview:

You will be joining the Cross Asset Risk and Profit and Loss (P&L) team, which is responsible for producing daily P&L/risk reports for their respective trading desk. They ensure that figures are validated based on existing controls and that the P&L is properly explained/substantiated.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Producing and analysing risk and P&L reports for Fixed Income structured and Exotics businesses
  • Liaising with the trading desk to explain risk and P&L move, obtaining trader sign off
  • Ensuring that Presenting Value (PV)/ Mark to Market (MTM) adjustments, Cash breaks and modelling or pricing exceptions are resolved within the agreed deadlines
  • Monitoring Key Risk Indicators (KRI's) and Key Performance Indicator (KPI's)
  • Participating in Change the Bank (CTB) initiatives of the team
  • Managing stakeholders by liaising with traders, market risk, GVG, business & financial control and resolving their queries in a timely manner
  • Potentially managing a small team

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in Accounting and financial analysis, reporting, P&L, cost reconciliation, management information system and Risk Management
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, Python, VBA and C++ skills would be highly beneficial
  • Previous experience in a P&L Risk environment
  • Experienced in the financial services industry, coupled with the ability to review and analyse daily economic movements of Equities, Foreign Exchange, Rates & Credit derivatives and other financial instruments (based on the current market news for accurate reporting)
  • Proven experience of delivering Risk and P&L to Front Office, with clear evidence of problem solving
  • Ability to resolve analytical issues
  • Capable of building and maintaining strong relationships with the trading desk and on-shore partners
  • Open-minded, able to share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members
  • Comfortable working in virtual global teams, within a matrix organisation
