Our exclusive client (being a top five corporate bank in the world) is currently looking to fill a role in relation to Customer Due Diligence. The candidate is to carry out due diligence checks for new clients and periodic reviews of existing clients. To assist team's compliance quality and performance. To develop compliance culture within the department and help in enhancing the overall awareness and knowledge of CDD and review policy and procedures.

  • Working closely with Relationship Managers to ensure the new CDD is completed on time with high quality
  • Carrying out risk-based due diligence of new clients and business partners during the on-boarding process(e.g checking the ownership structure, proof of ID and address, regulatory status etc) in accordance with external and internal policies relating to anti-money laundering regulations and courter terrorist financing
  • Gathering requisite data and documents from internal or external sources as appropriate, reviewing and analysing data and documents to ensure accuracy and integrity of on-boarding checks
  • Producing high quality and accurate written work with the ability to understand and summarize large amounts of information from diverse sources
  • Escalating negative information to the management and CDD Team for review
  • Handling PEP queries, verification and escalation within the department
  • To conduct a risk based analysis on prospective(or existing) clients with a view to forming an opinion as to the suitability from a KYC perspective
  • Assigning risk category for new clients or reassigning risk category when appropriate in accordance with internal policy and external regulation
  • Periodic due diligence checks of existing clients and escalating when appropriate
  • liaising with and reporting to internal Legal and Compliance when required
  • Facilitating regular training workshops to help RMs understand the most recent policy changes and procedure
  • Maintaining internal coordination and cooperation track record, positive attitude towards various tasks assigned
  • Providing guidance to the team in respect of the KYC requirement and compliance
  • Preparing supplementary documentation on file/queries as and when required(e.g. reports for compliance, file notes)
  • handling ad-hoc task being assigned to the department
