We are working with a growing FinTech firm based in London who deliver multi asset solutions to highly sophisticated private investors. This is one of the most exciting FinTechs that have launched in recent years and already started to generate significant revenues. Their culture is progressive, collegiate and is best described as high performance but low ego. They are looking for someone to lead their approach to all things Data. This is a hugely important role in a dynamic, growing, and collegiate firm.

This position is with highly entrepreneurial firm who have disrupted the Asset Management space by taking a data driven, transparent approach. In the last couple of years this firm have grown their client and asset base and are looking to grow their team as a result. More details on request, but it should be stressed that there are several differentiating factors this firm have compared to their competition in what is a crowded market. Perhaps best described as culturally like working for a FinTech start up whilst delivering institutional level service to sophisticated investors.

They are looking for someone who can design and deliver their data and information management process in line with business needs, specifically in the areas of data quality, data governance, and data testing. This will involve developing and implementing data management processes to improve data quality and maximise efficiency throughout the information management lifecycle. Data involved will include asset data, client data and data from other 3rd party sources.

They also want this person to identify new ways that data can be used. The ideal candidate will not only have exceptional knowledge of data management processes but also someone who is capable from a quantitative and technological perspective to help build the data function. Clearly a clear entrepreneurial passion and commercial mindset is required.

Whilst our client is prioritising the person over the CV, the ideal skill set would look like the following:

  • 6+ years of experience as a product manager / data product
manager / data manager / management consultant / data quality
    manager or similar role preferred
  • Experience in data at a fast growing business preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Science, Computer Science,
Mathematics, Statistics or a solid quantitative discipline in science,
    business, or social science preferred
  • Ability to scope, plan and execute on multiple projects
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, including the ability to use data to solidify recommendations
  • Proven project management skills
  • Excellent communication skills essential
  • Entrepreneurial attitude
  • Independent thinker
  • No ego

Due to demand we are advertising this role anonymously. If you would prefer to speak to someone before submitting a CV, please send a blank application to the role and someone will be in touch to discuss. There is a full spec we are happy to share with qualified candidates.
