Role Purpose

Accountability for the rollout strategy and business readiness plan for the new GBM Client Operations workflow tool - Fenergo/CLMTV2:

  1. Lead country roll-out planning and execution
  2. Define and orchestrate deployment readiness activities

Major Challenges

  • Deploying new orchestration technology across a global reach and into sites where some technology infrastructure already exists
  • Working with technology delivery partners (internal and external) and ensuring plans and objectives are aligned
  • Management and control of workstreams to meet exacting timescales and complex dependencies
  • Diverse and challenging senior stakeholders across a wide geographic landscape
  • Defining the approach, dealing with complex requirements, and ensuring global consistency is maintained while enabling new rollouts and supporting existing deployments
  • Working with multiple delivery and business partner teams
  • High visibility role with exposure to senior levels of GBM Client Operations

Role Context

GBM Client Operations is functionally composed of Client Due Diligence, Client Management, Credit Analysis Unit, Client Data Services and Documentation Operations. It is accountable for client lifecycle management on behalf of GBM and partners closely with KYC Operations and Legal. Its primary role is to ensure that clients have an enhanced onboarding experience which is swift, error free and data driven. It aims to provide a fully integrated end to end service supported by the right technology infrastructure in compliance with HSBC Global Standards and various market regulations.

The CLMTv2 programme has been created to design, deliver and deploy a globally scalable client and product on boarding workflow solution underpinning Client Operation's on boarding improvement objectives.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Country roll-out planning and execution, including schedule and approach
  • Definition and orchestration of deployment readiness activities
  • Define RACI and business engagement model
  • Coordinate completion of data sharing agreements (DTCS) and external regulatory submissions
  • Coordinate user training (leveraging BA team and Client Operations training team)
  • Country rollout and business readiness communications
  • Define and coordinate UAT for business users
  • Coordinate collation of user and entity data to support go-live migrations
  • Define and implement business support model
  • Support programme planning and governance design
  • Provide executive level engagement including updates to provide accurate, timely and insightful analysis of the progress of the deployment
  • Build strong relationships, adopting a joined up approach, to support execution of the programme at pace and with minimum conflict across all impacted functions e.g. Client Management, CAU, KYC, Legal, Compliance, etc.
  • Work closely with senior executives and stakeholders both inside and outside of Client Operations
  • Ensure delivery and optimisation plans are appropriate and aligned with the Global Standards Programme plan (Global standards is a global cross-line of business programme that will deploy a global standard for CDD across all HSBC sites)
  • Ensure alignment of delivery to the Target Operating Model by aligning with concurrent workstreams to define and optimise Sector operating models

Technical Skill Requirements:

  • Ideal: Knowledge of Client and Product On-boarding processes and technology
  • Ideal: Knowledge of Fenergo delivery in a banking environment
  • Ideal: KYC/ Client Due Diligence

Educational Requirements:

  • Essential: Project management skills, preferably PMP, ITIL or equivalent
  • Practitioner: Agile and DevOps Methodoogies
