Derivatives Operations sits within Investment Operations and supports all derivatives, such as OTC and ETD, trading at Jupiter. The team is responsible for all post trade derivative functions; collateral management, trade and position services, interpretation and implementation of regulations, maintaining legal agreements, onboarding new derivative instruments and providing specialist input on derivative strategies when required.

Derivatives Operations sits within Investment Operations and supports all derivatives, such as OTC and ETD, trading at Jupiter. The team is responsible for all post trade derivative functions; collateral management, trade and position services, interpretation and implementation of regulations, maintaining legal agreements, onboarding new derivative instruments and providing specialist input on derivative strategies when required.

Duties will include, but are not limited to:

  • Trade lifecycle and position management within the Investment Book of Record for all Derivatives including affirmation, confirmation, reconciliation, settlement, and reporting.
  • Collateral/Margin Management.
  • Liaison with service providers such as brokers, administrators, custodians, trustees.
  • Respond to Fund Manager portfolio queries and provide them with relevant information to manage their funds.
  • Development and production of MI and commentary.
  • Suppport development and implementation of new and existing regulation.
  • Work closely with fund management and other internal stakeholders to deliver new products and instruments.
  • Assist Derivatives Operations Manager with documentation of procedures as required.

Desired Experience:

  • Understanding of a variety of ETD and OTC derivative instruments, with proven experience of operational support of such instruments including all lifecycle events. CFD, CDS, IRS, OTC options experience desirable.
  • Experience with industry standard vendors and tools for affirmation, confirmation, reconciliation, and pricing.
  • Working knowledge of regulation as it applies to Derivatives.
  • Knowledge of fund administration, accounting, and valuations.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Highly numerate with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Excellent team player with proven ability to develop good working relationships with colleagues.
  • A flexible and proactive approach to work.
