Desktop Support - Windows/Bloomberg - Asset Management

A top tier Investment firm requires a Front Office Desktop Support Engineer with a good mixture of Software and Hardware capabilities.

- Key Accountabilities

  • Support of the day to day work activities for the standard desktop service for all workstations and laptops
  • Resolution of incidents, updating and escalating support calls, managing them through to final resolution
  • Provide excellent communication and feedback to customers and UK Client Support Team regarding the status of outstanding support calls
    Meet all SLT's for support calls
  • Solving IT Issues in relation the business effectively and efficiently
  • Assist in development and up keep of documentation and procedures for the Desktop Support Team
  • Assist in the planning and support of scheduled BCM tests
  • Participate in team run events and client relationship building
  • Follow best practice guidelines and continuously adhere to the banks values

- Essential Skills/Basic Qualifications:

  • Windows support and migration
  • Linux hardware experience
  • Bloomberg/Reuters support
  • Cisco CLI
  • Networking - TCP/IP
  • Cisco VPN
  • Citirx
  • MCP/MCSE qualified

- Desirable skills/Preferred Qualifications:

  • BSc or BEng
  • ITIL Service Management Certificate - both components (IT Service Support and IT Service Delivery) or other relevant MCP's or relevant IT certification
