Devops Engineer - working with a forward thinking and cutting edge digital business with a long reigning global reputation.

The business will give you exposure to exciting large-scale digital transformation projects, joining a highly skilled digital platforms team, where they working with open source software and have very good understanding of architecting for the cloud. With loads of room for training and career progression, the role can provide and develop your skill set for future exposure to the DevOps market.

It’s a great opportunity to work with a variety of desirable technologies in the market, such as AWS, Docker, Kubernetes and a variety of provisioning & orchestration tools. You’ll collaborate across the many different teams and gain insight into all areas of the projects.

 

 

 

This will be an opportunity for you to be involved in some of the following;

·Actively creating DevOps ways of working

·System provisioning & automation, monitoring, metrics, scalability, security and hardening.

·Be responsible for the health and upkeep of the critical services.

·Working alongside other engineers in the industry, providing the code, services and knowledge to deliver a smooth automation process from the start to the end of the project lifecycle.

 

Desired Experience / skills;

·Strong Linux, scripting and automation

·Experience working with AWS (secure by design building infrastructure in the cloud)

· Experience of working with either Terraform or AWS Cloud Formation

·Reasonable fluency in at least one programming language eg: Ruby, Go, Python

·Experience of configuration management tools eg: Puppet, Ansible, Salt, Chef

Beneficial to have some of these:

·Docker, Fleet, Etcd, Flannel, Kubernetes

·Or additional knowledge/experience with Drone, Sysdig, Vault or Consul

·Code Pipelines eg: Git, Sonarqube, Bamboo, Jenkins

·Good understanding of networking.

Desired candidate attributes:

·Good communication skills, both in written and verbal form.

·Security Clearable (Lived in the UK for past 5 years minimum)
