The Real Estate Division:

Offers a flexible and highly responsive approach when it comes to:

Commercial Real Estate Finance:

Specialises in providing a personalised service and finance that meets clients’ requirements over a term that suits them.

Development Finance:

Support financing the following UK development projects:

  • Residential housing – Build to rent, build to sell and purpose-built student accommodation
  • Commercial property - Out-of-town retail parks, multi-let industrial sites and offices
  • Change of use from commercial to residential

Main Role Responsibilities:

  • Origination and analysis of new Real Estate transactions
  • Maintaining appropriate electronic and paper file records for existing and potential clients
  • Writing credit applications including financial appraisal / modelling
  • Presenting credit applications at credit committee
  • Managing client draw downs
  • Maintaining exposure / security cover spreadsheets
  • Relationship Managing a portfolio of Real Estate clients
  • Ensure efficient liaison with operations, finance, credit, legal and compliance
  • Follow all relevant Bank policies and procedures including KYC and money laundering procedures
  • Ensure all proposed transactions adhere to Sharia’a guidelines by referring to Legal as appropriate – note knowledge and experience of Sharia’a compliant lending is not essential as training is given and qualifications are encouraged
  • Represent the Bank in a professional manner both internally and externally
  • Develop, mentor and performance manage direct reports

Skills, Experience and Personal Attributes:

  • Real Estate Finance – both investment and development funding for residential and commercial property
  • Financial Analysis (analytical skills)
  • Market awareness
  • Ability to deal with clients – originate and relationship manage
  • Ability to understand certificate of title, security, and finance documentation
  • Maintain appropriate transaction records
  • Ability to interact confidently at all levels – in both a written and verbal format
  • Can do attitude and active corporate citizen, always upholding the Bank’s values
