We are representing a London-based private asset management firm focusing on European asset-backed corporate and real estate special situations investments with over €1bn AUM.

The Role

  • Financial analysis of a wide range of real estate transactions, including modelling of real estate cash flows, financing assumptions, IRRs, output sensitivities etc., as well as research to support key underwriting assumptions
  • Analysis and interpretation of real estate, economic and public company data, including financial statements, to conduct valuation and operational benchmarking
  • Assistance in deal execution including managing internal workstreams, liaising with external brokers, liaising with JV partners, etc.
  • Preparation of documents for internal and external purposes, including assembly of investment committee memos and presentations to JV partners
  • Ability to work well within a small, relatively flat team

The Person

  • Approximately 3-7 years of experience or less within a real estate investment fund, investment bank or similar role (including relevant internship experience)
  • Educated to degree level at a minimum from a leading university
  • Demonstrated passion for real estate and all facets of the business including investments, development, and operations
  • Robust analytical and technical / financial modelling skills, as demonstrated either through work experience or academics (strong academics an advantage)
  • Proven experience in investment / financial analysis and transaction support, preferably within commercial real estate, an advantage
  • Energetic, self-motivated and a team-oriented individual who thrives on a challenge in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Professional and positive attitude, diligent
  • Willingness to work across time zones and geographies in Europe from time to time, as required
  • Experience in presentation preparation and research
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (excel, word, powerpoint)
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Any European languages are beneficial
