With the growing demand from our clients on sustainable investing my client is seeking a necessary resource to meet the increasing needs for a specialized, client facing, marketing specialist role.

In 2020 and beyond, my client will be confronted with an increasing need for documentation and client communication and interaction. The increasing needs varies from support to the Product Specialist fund level marketing material on ESG integration,  providing education to our clients on a ESG integration best practices, various EU regulation, the need for increased engagements and shareholders responsibilities documentation, to name a few, lead us to the conclusion that we will need a dedicated specialist that can cover across all asset classes from Equity to Fixed income, Solutions and other asset classes in the future like Alternatives. .

The ESG Specialist will cover all aspects of SRI product management and will be the ESG referent for the Product and Distribution area. The other strategy-led Product Specialists will continue to be responsible for all fund level ESG communication including fund investment processes and client requests. This person will be a key and integral actor directly implicated in the implementation of ESG principles and process, and client interface and messaging

The successful applicant will;

Lead Client Engagement and ESG messaging

  • Engage with clients to promote our Responsible Investment Approach which covers all fund ranges
  • Maintain a primary role in the ESG funds label (predominantly French & Belgian) audits, application and key documentation such as the transparency codes
  • Own firm level ESG marketing documents and communication (exclusion, voting policies…) providing consistency between ESG philosophy, process, communication
  • Own firm level RFP SRI content owner and written questions on ESG
  • Support the implementation of new ESG related client reporting
  • Involvement in SRI fund product innovation and sharing market landscape
  • Client and Sales Education and training
  • Firm wide ESG knowledge sharing
  • Add value in the implementation of new EU Disclosure/UK Stewardship Code and Engagement Documentation
  • Take an active part in thought Leadership where necessary

To achieve these goals the PS ESG Specialist will need to:

  • Develop the key selling points and messages based on the value proposition of the firm
  • Deep understanding of clients' needs, work closely with sales to gain knowledge
  • Attend investment discussions, listening to daily investment committees
  • Contribute actively in raising assets, monitor team activity and results​


  • Have relevant experience in a similar position compulsorily in ESG /SRI or fund management/fund selection environment, ideally gained in a previous product specialist/fund management or fund selector role,
  • Excellent understanding of the SRI fund management industry (all asset classes, philosophy and process and financial technical instruments), and be able to communicate it internally and externally
  • Exceptional organizational skills – be able to manage different deadlines and priorities from different sources and ensure timeliness of delivery
  • Proactive nature – curious and eager to learn while be able to anticipate future requirements and SRI trends, and also determine information which may be of interest to distribution channels
  • Excellent knowledge of Asset Management client segments
  • Strong written skills, numeracy and creativity
  • Strong communication skills– to be able to communicate and adapt the investment messages to a range of audiences
  • Strong interpersonal skills – to be able to build good relationships with key stakeholders from PS team, fund management team, marketing, compliance and sales team, and to integrate quickly with the highly professional team which is already in place
  • A thorough knowledge of key competition and the competitive environment
  • Language: French would be considered as a plus
  • The CFA is desirable
