The firm has recently launched a new ESG framework, placing sustainability analysis at the heart of its equity research. With distinct products for a variety of users, Redburn intends to be a leading provider of ESG research for all who face the challenge of aligning investment performance with increasing environmental, social and corporate governance responsibilities. We are looking for an ACA qualified individual to join our growing ESG team to help build the foundations for a new era of responsible capitalism, enhancing and popularising our cutting-edge methodology for analysing and evaluating sustainability success factors.

Redburn is one of Europe’s largest independent equities brokers. It provides institutional investors with research and trading in European equity markets. It is renowned for its focus on quality and premium client service, while our independence avoids the potential conflicts of interest prevalent in the equity research market. Redburn has a partnership ethos, with an inclusive culture and strong entrepreneurial spirit. There are over 170 people based in the City of London, Paris and Madrid and a further 25 based in Manhattan.

You may have recently qualified with an ACA qualification, or you may have done so previously and may now be early in your sustainability career. This job is intended to support and deliver the roll out of ESG research coverage on our multi-sector universe. The successful candidate will work in collaboration with Redburn’s fundamental research teams and provide additional thematic research looking specifically into human capital and social impact. It is our intention that within a year, this candidate will take on dedicated ESG stock coverage, opening up the opportunity to influence both investors and companies. The candidate will also have the opportunity to mentor, and aid the development of, other members in the team. Initially the role will involve:

  • Supporting Redburn Research teams to build up full coverage of our ESG universe
  • Building ESG models, collecting and analysing new ESG data
  • Creating, maintaining and updating client presentations

  • Developing a working understanding of UK, European and US companies
  • Responding to client requests and contributing to client meetings
  • Attending company meetings and industry conferences
  • Talking to companies about their ESG credentials
  • Using all of the above to build experience and understanding of the financially material sustainability factors that drive value and risk.

Only candidates who provide both a CV and Statement (see below on how to apply) will be considered.
