Fixed Income, Currency, and Commodities (FICC) Technology plays a key role in the firm'sability to help institutional clients buy and sell financial instruments on liquidity venues around the world, an important revenue driver for the firm. In FICC Technology we use both open source industry standard and internal proprietary technologies to build cutting edge platforms for pricing, execution, and control over each of these millions of transactions.
Our team of engineers builds solutions to the most complex problems. We develop cutting-edge systems and processes that form the core of our key business and enable transactions to move in milliseconds. We provide real-time access to critical deal information and crunch billions of data points each day to inform firm-wide market insights and strategies. GS Bank Regulatory Technology is responsible for the design, development and maintenance of systems to ensure that the firm is in compliance with regulatory agencies around the world. We partner with all areas of the firm to provide strategic solutions for a wide range of regulatory reporting functions. The Tech team focuses on obligations required by the Federal Reserve and banking authorities to enable GS Bank and Financial Holding Company monitoring and reporting. Our systems allow the firm not only to adhere to current regulations, but to respond in timely fashion to new regulatory changes and business opportunities. The area has an ongoing multi-year development initiative to implement and enhance regulatory reporting and monitoring for GS Bank. The scope includes fixed income, loans and derivative product lines that Goldman Sachs trades in.
Some of the technical challenges of the team include building, testing and integration of data flows with numerous upstream systems; ensuring completeness and accuracy of data reported and monitored; automation of current manual processes and the need to be nimble enough to react to new requests and regulatory change. We are seeking a driven, self-motivated and hands-on technical development lead who will: • Participate in analyzing business requirements. • Work closely with the Operations users to help define priorities, clarify business requirements and ensure proper testing. • Manage SDLC process for development and delivery of projects, manage other resources on the projects. • Coding, testing and deployment of various system components • Interact with multiple IT groups and business groups on a daily basis • Work closely with the architecture to integrate core technology components

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• Minimum 3 years of Java experience
• Familiarity & experience with testing frameworks (JUnit/FitNesse) and concepts (Test Driven Development, Regression testing).
• Experience of working on multi-tiered, large scale frameworks and applications
• Initiative/Ownership - The candidate must be self-motivated, with the ability to find creative solutions
• Good communication & Analytical skills with a strong desire to learn
• Work with the users & team to help define priorities, clarify business requirements and ensure proper testing.
• Demonstrated history of successful technical project lifecycle management, including testing and deployment.
• Financial Products experience
