You'll work in our London office in the heart of the City of London and you will work daily with colleagues in London, Krakow and Bangalore. You'll work most closely within the Enterprise Architecture team in London who's job is to ensure that we have the technical capability to meet the future needs of the business and our clients. You'll be part of the team who's responsible for defining the future technical direction of the business so you'll be right at the heart of our engine of change.

This is a senior role within IT delivery and as such, opportunities for progression will take the form of senior leadership roles within IT development, Infrastructure and Operations or the business.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to shape the company's future direction and the way we go about delivering value to our clients.

What you'll do

* Work across IT to lead the architecture and adoption of our cloud-native practices (containers, Kubernetes, PaaS)
Drive our cloud / hybrid cloud strategy and adoption within IT Development.
* Collaborate with colleagues within Infrastructure & Operations on PaaS and Cloud adoption.
* Set standards for best working practices (i.e AWS Well-Architected Framework / 12 factor) and help teams in adopting them.
* Build and maintain collateral to position and sell DevOps Cloud Native Platform capabilities and solutions. These could be things like Brochures, Briefings, Workshops, Reference Architectures, Advisory Services, Sandboxes, POCs, and demos.
* Advise on software architectures that make the most of cloud / hybrid cloud in a cost-effective way.

Who you'll be

At least 2 years experience architecting container/DevOps Cloud Native Platform including Docker and Kubernetes/Openshift
At least two years experience architecting cloud / hybrid cloud solutions with more than one vendor (AWS/Google/Microsoft etc)
Accomplished software engineering background with knowledge of modern architectural patterns (Microservices, Event-Driven Architectures, Event Sourcing, Domain Driven Design)
Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture frameworks such as TOGAF
Experience of Agile, Lean and DevOps ways of working including Continuous Delivery
Excellent written and presentational skills (including technical documentation, UML etc)
Excellent influencing and relationship building skills
Experience in development,visualising and using high-level models
Passion for technology and experience of acting as technology adoption evangelist.
Willingness to keep technology knowledge up to date with personal study, conferences and relevant training as appropriate.
Minimum 8 years of industry experience

Knowledge of the financial derivatives industry.
Experience of reactive architectures.
Extensive experience as an architect and technical evangelist.
Experience of EA modeling tools - e.g. Sparx, BizzDesign, etc
Financial industry trading experience or similar, with an understanding of the business impact of messaging properties/behaviors.
