Previous short selling experience is not required however an active interest in short selling, experience in detailed financial analysis, or having undertaken personal research into the field would all be advantageous.
We are keen to hear from applicants principally from two backgrounds:
1) Equity research: The ideal profile will have 2-4 years’ experience from another investment management firm (long-only or long/short) or a high-quality sell-side organisation.
2) Accounting: 3+ years' experience in professional services (transactions, audit, etc).
Candidates must either have completed a chartered accountancy course or have passed at least Level 2 of the CFA examinations.
We are open to a wide range of career backgrounds and sector specialisms, but broad awareness of current affairs and the stock market is vital.
