This is a truly unique opportunity to work for a hugely entrepreneurial and growing boutique business that primarily provides debt financing to a number of niche and very "cool" sectors including sport, music and entertainment. This role will be focused on building out a VC / Growth Equity investment platform with most likely strong technology flavour. Role for the career minded impressario!

The Opportunity:

  • This is a rare and unique role that will suit a truly entrepreneurial person with demonstrable experience in investing in VC / FinTech investing
  • My client predominantly provides lending to a number of niche and very interesting sectors including Entertainment & Lifestyle, and, Music. Through their extensive network of clients and deal originators, they are also getting approached by a large number of young private companies looking for equity investment as opposed to debt
  • These potential "clients" will be across a range of sectors, although, there is likely to be a heavy "tech" flavour to their offering
  • My client has therefore created a platform where they will seek to partner in growth-stage companies where there is a synergy with their main core offerings
  • Because the focus of my clients' business is largely lending / debt focused, there is not the expertise in the firm to accurately look at these businesses from an "equity" perspective. Hence the need to recruit for this role and to appoint an motivated and enterprising equity focused specialist to lead this business stream

Your Experience:

  • You will have a strong relevant record of academic achievement and possess a pioneering mind-set
  • In terms of experience, you must be able to demonstrate significant experience of analysing and assessing VC / growth-stage companies from a perspective of making an equity investment
  • It goes without saying that you will possess strong quantitative and qualitative skills, with the ability of assessing the "numbers" along with the innate ability to cut through the noise and see the accurate holistic potential of the businesses you're analysing
  • You will therefore possess a high level of emotional intelligence / EQ, and, demonstrate the ability to work independently at times, whilst remaining actively engaged with this wonderfully exciting company who are going from strength to strength and are without doubt one of the most exciting firms that I have ever recruited for

My Client:

  • Central London based boutique firm that is located in beautifully appointed offices within the hustle and bustle of one of London's most prestigious post codes
  • A culture that promotes both personal and professional development, and, will suit somebody who wants to work in a truly meritocratic and entrepreneurial business
  • Has carved a niche in what it does and has shown extraordinary levels of success and growth since inception
