Equity Research Analyst – Metals & Mining

As a member of our Cash Equities Metals and Mining team, you will be joining our 2-person team and bring your significant metals and mining research expertise to further strengthen our research output.
Your substantial previous experience of coverage in both industrial and precious metals within large, corporate financial institutions will allow you to create, update and maintain company models and valuations, as well as generate consensus ideas and pitch ideas to internal and external clients.
You will manage external client relationships and attend regular client meetings and have the flexibility to handle multiple research assignments simultaneously. Your passion for in-depth analysis, stock picking, generating creative research ideas and the ability to write clear and concise content will quickly make you a successful addition to the metals and mining research team.
You will bring a minimum of 3-5 years' experience covering Metal/Mining stocks on the sell side, which includes some analysis on the underlying commodities and handling client requests and engaging with clients on a face to face basis. Degree educated and ideally with an MBA, you will be a "self-starter", who can demonstrate success and work both independently or as part of the global and London based Metals & Mining team. You will also have the ability to prioritise and work well under pressure, as daily news flow and unplanned projects will arise frequently.
