As a full-service trading desk, Structured Trading Group (STG) are able to serve our global clients with worldwide structured products, from Interest Rates Exotics, through FX Hybrid, to Equity Exotic derivatives.

They work closely with Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group affiliates in Japan, Singapore, Europe and the United States and are proud to play an integral role as the core of exotic trading for the Group. Our Structured Trading team delivers a high degree of professionalism backed by solid performance designed to meet the diverse needs of investors. The business derives its strength from our in-depth knowledge of specific portfolio strategies and securities products, combined with sound quantitative methods, backed by the latest quantitative and information technology.

Main purpose of the role:
We have an exciting opportunity within our Structured Business department for a quantitative front office risk manager for the risk management of the Structured Financing desks, covering predominantly the credit and market risks, as well as reputational, operational and legal risks.  The front office risk manager is expected to contribute via daily monitoring, pricing of structured securities, providing insightful credit analysis for transaction proposals, justifying the haircuts and risk mitigants that should become part of the financing transactions. The pre-trade risk analysis, and post trade daily risk monitoring and management, regular risk reporting to stakeholders.

Key responsibilities:
• Pre-trade risk analysis, finding defendable, conservative haircuts, risk mitigants, building bespoke models, challenge assumptions, working with structurers, presenting analysis to internal stakeholders and to risk functions.
• Post-trade daily monitoring and managing the risks of the Structured Financing books, analyzing impact of market events to collateral pools and to counterparties.  Marking collateral daily.  Monitoring changes in collateral risk and sensitivities.
• Review and approve inclusions in warehouse financing trades, checking against eligibility criteria.
• Produce reports on Structured Financing books, changes and updates on risks, sensitivities, positions, counterparties, funding.
• Contribute to business development in new products.

Skills and experience:
• Advanced degree in statistics, math, engineering, sciences or financial engineering preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of direct experience in quantitative role in a financial institution.
• Prior experience in risk management or rating agency experience preferred.
• Prior experience in analyzing securitized products (CLO, MBS, ABS) required.
• Prior experience in analyzing corporate credit, fixed income credit markets, capital structure analysis (corporate capital structure, and payment rank structure) is required.
