This role is for Portfolio Governance team, which is a central function for Finance Change based out of London.

The Portfolio Governance team will be responsible for various governance activities including -

  • Manage the implementation of newly defined Portfolio Governance Standards, and its continuous improvement and enhancements.
  • Monitor and maintain a strong culture of compliance and governance including implementation and review of quality assurance processes.
  • Drive out a strategy for risk management of the portfolio, recognizing different types of deliveries and tailoring risk management processes accordingly.
  • Ensure the highest quality and excellent portfolio MI and reporting for the CFO portfolio across multiple dimensions including benefits, dependencies, risks, issues and timely status reporting.
  • Quality Assurance team member involved in independent QA reviews and tollgate program reviews.
  • Drive the BoW planning and prioritization cycle.
  • Coordinate with executing portfolios within CFO, IT, and Group Change Governance across the firm and Internal Audit.
  • Collaborate and support the CFO Portfolio with Internal Audit during reviews and audits.

  • Manage Risk Control Self Assessment process and ongoing monitoring and management of portfolio change delivery risks.
  • Ensure implementation Portfolio Governance Standards. Tailoring and challenging delivery teams and enterprise Governance teams at the same time for a balanced response between risk appetite and delivery oversight.
  • Create awareness of portfolio governance standards to all programs under remit of FC by conducting sessions/ organizing trainings.
  • Coordinate with internal audit team on portfolio governance actions like - Program Tollgates, Compliance to Innovation control framework.
  • Prepare executive ready materials (Execution Committee Reports, Governance Reports and other ad hoc material).
  • Leverage data and drive innovation in reporting and workflow management solutions.
  • Experience in managing the governance and reporting of large programs and senior partner engagement.
  • Engage in and drive transformation initiatives including Lean Portfolio Management and challenge existing methods to implement more sustainable and efficient processes.

You Offer
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of change delivery related methodologies (including practical experience in program delivery – preferably in agile methodology and a proven track record in portfolio management of large portfolios).
  • Proven engagement in Portfolio Governance and management of a large scale and complex delivery.
  • Possess audit and control related experience in program management. Dealing and coordinating with audit in Portfolio Management audits and close out of audit points.
  • Data orientated with exposure to deliveries such as BSBS 239 and ongoing compliance.
  • Analytical and innovative with visualization and Portfolio Reporting experience would be highly desirable, as would proven experience on Innovation tools - Qlik, R etc.
  • Outstanding analytical and problem solving skills with ability to conclude quickly and present your findings in a concise and clear manner.
  • Results-oriented with excellent attention to detail.
