Role responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Oversight of and support with updating financial accounting records for group operating companies.
  • Preparing the monthly group MIS including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements and other supporting information.
  • Preparing the monthly group MIS including balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements and other supporting information.
  • Preparing monthly regulatory capital reviews and supporting the Financial Controller with associated regulatory reporting on Gabriel including preparation of annual ICAAP report and stress-tests.
  • Preparation of annual accounts for operating companies, consolidation of group results and assisting the Financial Controller with the annual audit as required.
  • Review of quarterly VAT returns and post necessary corrections.
  • Supporting the Financial Controller with the annual tax calculations for group entities.
  • Supporting the Financial Controller with the Group’s annual budget and semi-annual reforecast process.
  • Responsible for vendor onboarding and supporting the Financial Controller with ongoing management of Group Finance and back office service providers.
  • Continuous improvement of finance processes including development of process notes and policy documents.
  • Assist with other accounting projects as required including the upgrade of finance systems during 2020 and 2021.
  • Performing ad hoc analyses and deep dive reviews as required by Management.

The business is relaxed about whether applicants have Private Equity experience so it could be an ideal opportunity for someone from another industry to get experience in PE. You will be a qualified accountant with likely between 2-3 years post qualification. You will likely have a background in corporate reporting and analysis, ideally with experience of FRS 102. You must have excellent communication skills and be comfortable interacting with staff outside of finance in a professional environment.
