Based in London, this SME provides Credit Consensus Ratings and Analytics, derived from leading global financial institutions. Ideal candidate is a mid-level Financial Controller, who is a strong self-starter with the willingness to learn and develop as the company moves into the next phase of its growth. Must be-a qualified financial professional with a background of in-house finance or from a professional services background.

Searching on behalf of a rapidly growing FinTech data analytics company for a detail orientated Financial Controller. Based in London, this SME provides Credit Consensus Ratings and Analytics, derived from leading global financial institutions.

 

Ideal candidate is a mid-level Financial Controller, who is a strong self-starter with the willingness to learn and develop as the company moves into the next phase of its growth. Must be-a qualified financial professional with a background of in-house finance or from a professional services background.

 

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Finance Director and CEO, the Financial Controller will manage and support all day-to-day accounting functions (including AP/AR, payroll, monthly management accounts, treasury/cash management, expenses, coordinating with UK/US advisors on tax filings).

 

The Financial Controller would work closely with HR, Corporate Development, and other departments.

 

Qualifications:

Relevant experience in financial control or analysis

Self-starter: proactive with an ability to work under pressure and deliver to deadlines

Calmness under pressure and excellent prioritisation skills

CA / CPA / ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent qualification

Thorough understanding of financial control: income and expenses

Strong accounting skills with knowledge and experience of UK GAAP preferred; no previous tax experienced required

Strong communication skills (both written and spoken)

Strong team worker and partnership skills

Excellent analytical skills

Eligible to work in the UK
