The Financial Controller will report directly to the Head of Finance and the role includes direct exposure to all aspects of the finance function for the business. The role holder will be directly involved in ensuring that all entities are supported by a robust finance function and all finance activities are executed in an efficient and professional manner. The role will demand involvement in a variety of financial responsibilities including: supporting the strategic planning process, management reporting, critical regulatory tasks such as ICAAP planning process, and the preparation and completion of all legal and regulatory obligations with respect to the preparing of financial statements for the UK and European businesses, and for the underlying fund ranges. This role also includes day-to-day accounting, invoicing and cost centre management oversight, including control of outcomes, suppliers of finance and administration services. The role holder will be required to deputise and represent the Head of Finance at official governance committees such as the Management Committee and Business Development Committee. You will have a minimum of 8 years' experience working for an asset management business and be a professionally qualified accountant. Hold advanced Microsoft Excel skills with experience handling large volumes of data and the ability to build and maintain complex financial models, coupled with excellent communication and relationship management skills. You should demonstrate a proactive approach and show a mind-set of ownership for quality and delivery to timescale and budget. It is essential you have experience and knowledge of the regulatory regime for UK and offshore funds.

Please note this is an inital 12 months fixed term contract, however the likelyhood the role to go permanent after this period.
