Full Stack Developer - APtimise
The Requirements

We're looking for a Full Stack Developer to join APtimise in London
  • You'll join APtimise and work in a unique area for the bank as user led insights are used to develop intuitive products
  • We currently have 70 customers in the pilot phase and aim to increase the customer base to 1000 by the end of the year
  • You'll work on this really interesting proposition, designing and developing an end-to-end solution and ensure high performance and responsiveness as standard

What you'll do

In this role, you'll design and implement low-latency, high-availability and performant applications using Docker, AWS, Terraform and Ansible. You'll contribute to the execution of the overall Digital and Technology strategy, and hold responsibility for integrating third party API services to the ecosystem.

Day-to-day, you'll:
  • Ensure the integration of user-facing, Node.Js Apis developed by third party vendors
  • Develop user-facing features using React.j
  • Translate designs and wireframes into high-quality code
  • Develop connectors for Sage50 and Sage200, Test APIS to Xero and Quickbooks AP
  • Write reusable, testable and efficient code
  • Optimise components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers
  • Contribute to the design of website architecture
  • Contribute to the design and architecture of OCR, AI and machine learning technologies
  • Contribute to the design of automated integration tests and e2e regression tests
  • Work collaboratively with others including external partners providing open feedback based on your experience and findings
  • Implement security and data protection
  • Assist in designing and building wider ways to automate testing
  • Contribute to the development of others by sharing best practice, role modelling and offering support and guidance
  • Be an advocate of APtimise
  • Display risk practices and behaviours consistent with a risk culture where risk is simply part of the way we work and think

The skills you'll need

To succeed in this role, you'll need a strong understanding of Node.js and available frameworks for it, such as Express, Koa, and Hapi. As well as this, you'll have a thorough understanding of C#, and React.js and it's core principles.

We'll also look to you to bring:
  • A clear understanding of asynchronous programming
  • An uunderstanding in designing RESTful API
  • An understanding of Docke
  • Strong proficiency in DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object mode
  • A basic understanding of front-end technologies, such as HTML5, and CSS
  • Knowledge of modern authorisation mechanisms, such as JSON Web Toke
  • Knowledge of user authentication and authorisation between multiple systems, servers, and environments oAuth
  • Familiarity with newer specifications of ECMAScrip
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
  • Experience in data storage solutions, including Elastic, Redis, and Mongo
  • Experience in AWS serverless architecture
  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, Lerna, Yarn, and parceletc
  • Experience with popular React.js workflows, such as Flux or Redux
  • Experience with data structure libraries, for example Immutable.js
  • Knowledge of isomorphic React
  • Experience of implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
