A Global Asset Manager is looking for a Full Stack Engineer to designs, develop, modify, adapt and implement short- and long-term solutions to information technology needs through new and existing applications, systems, databases and applications infrastructure.

My client is looking for a Full Stack Engineer with DevOp principles to work within their Enteprise Architecture team to develop in-house applications that integrate with enterprise tooling to promote and enforce best devops practices. 

 

The role:

You will be involved in all aspects of a project from understanding the high-level objectives, researching user needs, using the results to propose architectural design, implementing robust and well tested quality solutions and talking it to production.

Current projects include developing an intelligent solution for cloud deployment and a compliance aware release management system with the ability to integrate into continuous delivery pipelines.

This is a hands-on, full development lifecycle role which provides an opportunity to help build a devops solution not only beneficial to the technologist, but also addresses the compliance and auditory needs as the main objective is to set the standard for the rest of the development community.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Take ideas through from inception to consumable product.
  • Work closely with users to understand their need.
  • Collaborate with team members globally.
  • Implement high quality and well tested solution.
  • Practices automated testing and tests their own work in an automated and repeatable way 
  • Identifies and remediates technical debt
  • Works with existing data models and schemas and suggests changes and improvements where necessary
  • Demonstrates strong logic and reasoning capabilities

 

Skills

  • Strong development and problem-solving skills.
  • Javascript (ideally AngularJS).
  • Good understanding of devops and development best practices.
  • Typically requires 1+ years of relevant experience
  • Articulates all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Able to operate with transparency and efficiency with one or more SDLC methodologies (e.g. Scrum)
  • Actively seeks feedback and guidance to improve technical skills (e.g., through submitting work for code review)
  • Debugs and fixes his/her own software with minimal assistance
  • Practices automated testing and tests their own work in an automated and repeatable way
