Butler Investment Managers, a fast-growing Fixed Income Investment Manager, is looking to hire a bright, dynamic and driven Fund accountant – Operations analyst to join their expanding Operations team in London.

Fund Accountant - Operations Associate key responsibilities include:

  • Monitoring daily Net Asset Values (NAVs), management and performance fee calculations, investor flows, weekly/monthly reconciliation of accounts and funds
  • Monitoring Fund distribution calculations, Performance fee equalisation calculations etc
  • Liaising with traders, administrators and third-party providers in the booking, matching and settlement of multi-asset and derivative trades including, Bonds, FX, futures, swaps, and repos
  • Maintaining security and portfolio data; confirming portfolio valuations, trade allocations, margin calls, and monitoring expiry of derivative contracts
  • Maintaining margin reports and responding to calls, reconciling daily cash balances, collateral, and projections; Review FX exposure and generating share class FX trades/hedges
  • Processing and instructing corporate actions
  • Respond to compliance requests, responsible for supplying of portfolio, index and performance data and other ad-hoc requests to Fund Managers and Marketing teams

To be considered for this role you will possess relevant industry experience of at least 2-3 years in investment management, fund accounting and/or hedge fund operations. Experience with end to end operations processes from trade processing to settlement, reconciliations, valuations and corporate actions

  • Experience needs to include direct exposure to Fixed income, FX, OTC/Cleared derivatives, and/or collateral management
  •  High attention to detail, ability to think outside the box, deliverables and solutions driven
  • Degree level qualification required with a quantitative background preferred, finance, economics and math; industry related exams are beneficial
  • Strong Excel skill are essential and Knowledge of VBA desirable
