Our client is a specialist alternative investment manager based in Mayfair. Due to continued growth in their firm, a new role has been created for a newly/recently qualified accountant in a broad fund accounting capacity. Seeking an ACA with an excellent attitude and aptitude to develop their career post-practice.

The Role:

  • Primary responsibilities will include the reporting of several high profile fund and corporate entities
  • Working closely with colleagues in the Finance team and Front Office to prepare month end management accounts and annual statutory accounts. This will include:
  • Maintain clean ledgers for a number of operating companies
  • Liaise with the Front Office to produce accurate income forecasts
  • Prepare financial information for Exec Committee meetings
  • Assist with investor reporting
  • Review expenses vs budget and understand variances
  • Reconcile balance sheet control accounts
  • Preparation of audit schedules and provision of timely responses to audit queries

Requirements:

  • You must be a fully qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA)
  • You will likely be newly/recently qualified from practice, a Big 4 background not required for this role
  • Have excellent academics, 2:1 or better from an excellent university
  • Be highly inquisitive, personable with a strong degree of common sense
  • Have demomstrable appetite to work in the investment management sector
