With a strong ethos of collaborating with teams in Enterprise & Client Platforms, as well as other technology teams in GSAM, we have been early adopters of various platforms in GS & are committed to improving them for the benefit of both our users & the wider firm. RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS HOW YOU WILL FULFIL YOUR POTENTIAL
The successful candidate will have strong analytical thinking skills and be comfortable working with different technology platforms used within the team; develop software in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, adapting to market and customer needs to deliver robust solutions in an ever changing business environment; strong verbal and written communications skills are a pre-requisite, as well as ability to form strong client relationships by working closely with the various GSAM desks.
Working as a front office developer partnering directly with research analysts across all of GSAM's desks, the candidate will build functionality to help them make better investment decisions. The candidate will be responsible for understanding requirements, then designing & implementing solutions. They will also build a unified world-class platform supporting all aspects of investment research and will have great opportunity to learn the business while working with a talented group of individuals.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- Strong academic record with Bachelor's level, above or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline required
- Prior experience gained from working within investment banking/financial services industry required
- Significant experience as a User Interface architect/developer/engineer required
- Familiarity with a host of modern web-frameworks, testing, responsive design, page load optimisation required required
- Experience in Angular, TypeScript required
- Experience in the interpretation of graphic visual/interaction design in browser readable code required
- Solid analytical skills and appreciation of technical risk
- Project management skills with knowledge of Agile methods required
- Highly motivated, committed and capable of working to timelines
- Strong communication skills required
- Must be a collaborative team-player
- Strong stakeholder/customer relationship management skills required
