GTS EMEA FI Product Management Head

Job Description:
Overview:

The role will report to the regional head of Product Management, who in turn reports to the Head of GTS EMEA. It also forms part of the GTS Product Leadership Team, enabling the individual to align and collaborate across the broader GTS Product set. The individual will also have accountability to the Global Head of FI Product Management. The individual will run the FI Product Management function, leading a team of initially 3 product managers and ensuring close alignment with the broader Product, GTS, and support partners.

Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities of the position include:
  • Bring a strong product management discipline to the GTS EMEA product set
  • In close partnership with the EMEA GTS product leadership team, drive profitability and more complex BAU management of existing products and channels
  • Build strong linkages with the regional and global product teams
  • Managing the P&L for the GTS EMEA FI Products, delivering against revenue and net income targets
  • Develop and execute a 4-year FI Product strategy in collaboration with FI Sales team - including market priorities, competitive positioning and platform development
  • Build and maintain successful partnership with key stakeholders - Sales, Strategic Solution Delivery, Operations, Technology - to drive business growth and improvements in product delivery
  • Identify and prioritise critical FI Product enhancements, necessary for future growth and to ensure competitive advantage
  • Support Sales calling efforts to defend & growth business - with particular focus on developing and executing a plan for market engagement across the EMEA region
  • Represent the Product Management team in client events
  • Own and manage product risk management and compliance across the GTS EMEA FI franchise
  • Develop specific strategies for the NBFI segment and key sub-segments - and partner with FI Sales team to execute
  • Participate in market / industry bodies, as required, to maintain BofAML's industry presence and leadership
  • Drive the business response to regulation impacting FI - including platform requirements, business impact, and client thought leadership activities
  • Contribute to cross-product and cross-business initiatives where required
  • Manage and develop the 3 individuals currently within the FI Product team

Skills we look for:

Essential Skills
  • Proven background in Product Management in an international banking environment
  • Strong understanding of the core GTS product suite including payments, receivables, FX, channels, reporting, liquidity and account services.
  • Exceptionally strong product/business management skills, including P&L / financial management, business development, product rollout and delivery, management of risk and controls
  • Ability to build, lead and motivate a strong team
  • Ability to communicate & align cross a wide group of regional and global stakeholders
  • Proven record in driving change, challenging status quo and improving profitability
  • Ability to own and run a portfolio of GTS products
  • Good understanding of product lifecycle
  • Track record in formulating and executing on strategy
  • Holds self and others accountable for results
  • Ability to build broad based relationships both internally and externally
