My client, a leading bank in London, are looking for a Relationship Manager (AD/ED level) to join their Corporate Banking team. You will be working alongside a Managing Director on a impressive portfolio of Diversified Industries clients (Utilities, Metals and Mining, Aerospace and Defense, Business Services and Manufacturing names.) They are looking for someone with strong product knowledge, and excellent communication skills, that they can delegate clients to.

The role:

  • To enhance this bank's relationships with the UK headquartered portfolio of Diversified Industries clients
  • the role involves origination and execution with product specialists 
  • Work closely with the Senior Banker on corporate transactions with key clients
  • Maximine cross-selling opportunities by becoming aware of the banks key capabilities
  • Maintain close relationships with the product partners
  • Develop a clear understanding of the industry sectors
  • Ensure credit approvals are obtained in a timely, efficient manner
  • Prepare budgut input as part of the budget process
  • Prepare regular mangement information which is included in coverage reports
  • Responsible for target returns on a client by client basis
  • Provide relationship support as neccessary for all transactions submitted to credit, and work closely with the credit team when necessary
  • Support the Senior Banker in managing client and target reports

Experience required:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • CFA level desirable but not essential
  • A minimum of 5 years experience at another bank
  • Experience in dealing with senior level contacts
  • Strong product knowledge across the following areas: DCM, ECM, Loan Syndication, Structured Finance, Derivatives
  • Good credit knowledge
  • Financial modeling skills desirable but not essential
  • Team player
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience in the Industrials, Utilities, Mining, or Services sectors is desired
  • Strong presentation skills
