Graduate Trading Analyst Programme VCMT, a leading commodities trading firm is looking for a Graduate Analyst to join our rapidly expanding business. Taking up an integral role within the team, the successful candidate will be part of a Graduate Analyst programme. This is an entry level opportunity to develop your skills in OTC derivatives trading, proprietary trading, quantative modelling and risk management. Working closely with senior traders and staff members, you have access to learn from the brightest minds in the industry.
Responsibilities:
After comprehensive technical training; giving you all of the required base knowledge to start your career in becoming a trader, you will join a rotation scheme whilst on a trading desk, giving you exposure to multiple departments. These include Risk, Quant modelling, Proprietary trading, Research and OTC trading. After completion of the scheme you will be given the opportunity to move into your chosen specialism.
As a commercial trading analyst your key responsibilities on the trading desk will cover the following:
- Assisting senior traders with desk administrative duties - Uploading, recording and executing trades
- Completing and delivering assigned projects
- Attending and contributing to team meetings to develop your knowledge of the marketplace relevant to your specific desk
- Development of modelling tools for markets analysis
- Aid trading activities by analysing opportunities, producing research and market analysis
Requirements:
- Confident, concise communicator when communicating trading ideas/complex concepts
- Ability to work under extremely high pressure
- A demonstrable interest in training
- Commitment to working long hours
- Able to demonstrate a high level of accuracy and attention to detail in all areas
- Ability to work autonomously and use own initiative
- Ability to grasp unfamiliar operating processes from beginning to end
- A Bachelor's degree or above is required
Desirable:
- Excel VBA skills would be beneficial
- Relevant Internship experience in a similar trading environment desirable
- Motivated and driven to develop a career in Global Markets
