We are a consultancy specialising in providing global asset allocation advice to international fund management corporations in the UK and overseas, as well as to the funds it advises and manages. The company was established in October 1996 and comprises 14 employees, based in the Victoria area of London.

We are currently recruiting for a Graduate / Junior Quantitative Analyst to provide research support to the company’s liquidity-based asset allocation analysts and fund managers.

Job specification:

To provide research support to the company’s liquidity-based asset allocation analysts and fund managers.

Activities to include:

  • To produce quantitative research on financial markets (equity, bonds, currencies, commodities, etc)
  • To maintain and update existing databases and run asset allocation models
  • To assist in the collection and compilation of input data
  • To assist in analysing data and developing new quantitative models, for example models to forecast risk (volatility and correlations)

Job Requirements: 

  • Good university degree containing a substantial quantitative element (previous experience an advantage but not essential).
  • Knowledge of applied statistical analysis required. 
  • Advanced Excel and VBA skills are essential.
  • Knowledge of R, Mat-lab or Python, and Datastream or Bloomberg is a distinct plus.
  • Commitment, ability to communicate and work in a small firm, intellectual skill, high degree of accuracy and attention to detail, enthusiasm for financial markets as well as entrepreneurial spirit are vital for this position.

The candidate is expected to have or obtain FCA registration within 6 months.
