We are working with a fixed income hedge fund in London who are looking to hire a C# developer. This hire will focus on a range of greenfield projects and report into the CTO. The fund is looking to build on sustained success and have ambitious plans to grow the team. They are looking to build out a new, cutting edge, core C# system and this hire will be integral to that. The are looking for candidates who have experience in event-driven architectures, multi-threading and asynchronous pattern.

This position is with a high performing fixed income fund in London. The catalyst for the hire is growth due to consistent strong performance. They are looking to grow their development team by hiring a C# developer as they look to build a new, bespoke core system. 

They are looking for a candidate who has direct experience working on greenfield prjoects in C#. Realistically, the successful candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in a relevant role.  Due to the plans for growth, there are a range of projects to be worked on, so there is a degree of flexibility to nuances of the hire. 

You will be working in a collegiate environment and will be involved in several different projects simultaneously. All developers are expected to be involved in discussing and architecting new projects, working on a pipeline of development work, and supporting existing software in production.

In terms of characteristics the fund hires are high performing self-starters with low ego and the ability to be pragmatic in their approach to work. There is significant exposure to working with a range of stakeholders across the business (including PMs), so strong communication skills are essential. Good knowledge of standard data structures and patterns would be valued. Candidates should have a geniune passion for software development and a general positive attitude.

Requirements:

  • In depth knowledge of recent C# version (6.0 >)
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (2017 >)
  • Experience in event-driven architectures, multi-threading and asynchronous pattern.
  • Experience in building internal libraries.
  • Experience in developing WinForms UIs.
  • The ability to work on both ‘framework’ focused systems and user focused systems.
  • Positive, can-do pragmatic attitude
