As a key member of the senior finance team reporting directly into the Group FC and FD the role on offer at this progressive insurance business is broad and forward looking. The key aspects of the role will be to offer support in the production of group consolidated/management accounts as well as looking at the budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis aspects of the accounts.

My client is a progressive, highly regarded and multi-award winning insurance broker that provides bespoke insurance solutions to a wide range of business functions.


Financial accounting and reporting

- Oversight of production of consolidated and stand-alone annual reports and accounts and as appropriate other statutory and legal filings for Group and relevant in-scope entities

- Oversight of production of consolidated monthly management accounts and associated materials

- Review and analysis of monthly reporting submitted by group subsidiaries, including analysis of key metrics

- Support ensuring relevant regulatory requirements of group entities are met, including but not limited to satisfaction of threshold conditions, maintenance of adequate regulatory capital and compliance with client money rules and related non-statutory trust and custody obligations

- Support group restructure exercise

Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)

- Support annual budget, three year plan and any in-year re forecast and adhoc analysis as required

- Participate in allocation (central costs) process (budget and actuals) and refinement of network fees structures and global SLAs

- Support business partnering capability across regional offices (as appropriate)

- Support financial modelling (pre-acquisition) and decision support acquisitions, disinvestment, incentives, and other corporate actions

- Support cash forecasting and budgeting for consolidated group and legal entities

- Support working capital and liquidity management and reporting, including pooling and inter group loans

- Ensure inter-group loans are up to date

- Support FX management

- Support standardisation of banking counterparties used


- Support strategy for group's tax structure and network fee arrangements

- Support UK entity returns and compliance

- Oversight of Global taxation compliance

Finance change and operations

- Identification of tactical and strategic priorities to improve the effectiveness and efficient delivery of finance. This will include mitigation's of operational risk in terms of people, processes and platforms.

- Support of delivery of process and system change within Finance

- Support of Group wide strategic initiatives

- Support development of central processes in line with strategic direction


Financial services background - insurance would be advantageous

ACA/ACCA qualified accountant with at least five years post qualified experience

Trained at an accountancy firm
