Altus Partners is delighted to be partnered with a Venture Capital backed organic F&B brand based in London. The company has experienced record growth over the last 3 years due to excellent brand positioning and a first-class ecommerce platform. Moreover, they have a growing loyal customer base and operate globally. In line with recent funding, the company is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee the finance function and work closely with the CFO.

THE SEARCH:

Moreover, they have a growing loyal customer base and operate globally. In line with recent funding, the company is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee the finance function and work closely with the CFO to ensure they hit their strategic milestones.

THE ROLE:

  • Full ownership of the close process for the group ensuring the month is closed in a timely manner.

  • Production of the Management Accounts Pack with variance analysis explaining key movements.

  • Preparation of multi-currency consolidation of the group P&L and Balance sheet

  • Implementation and continuous improvement of the management accounts pack to support the business growth and complexity.

  • Overseeing a team of 3 assistant accountants

  • Implementing a robust financial control environment across the group ensuring completeness and accuracy of data

  • Strong balance sheet control ensuring all account and reconciled and reviewed monthly.

  • Reviewing, implementing and improving processes in finance, automating as the business experiences 2x growth.

  • Overseeing day to day and management of a small but growing team.

  • Preparation and submission of UK year end statutory accounts

  • Working with our accountants for submission of year end corporation tax returns

  • Reviewing and ensuring the financial accounting for the group ensuring the correct treatment of items regarding revenue, stock, intercompany and share options.

THE REQIREMENTS:

  • Fully qualified ACA/ACCA

  • Experience at an accountancy practice will be beneficial

  • 2+ years post qualification experience

  • Retail/FMCG/Consumer Goods experience is essential

  • Experience in working for a high growth organisation is highly beneficial
