Group Financial Controller - Investment Management - FD Progression

Location: London, England, United Kingdom
Salary: £130k + Bonus

An established and successful boutique investment house is looking for a Senior Controller to step into a role that will develop into the Finance Director position over the next 18 months.

This diverse business has a variety of business units covering private equity, capital markets, asset management and real estate. They have a global footprint with multiple office locations around the world. It's an entrepreneurial environment where new ideas are encouraged and executed in a dynamic and exciting manner.

There is going to be an internal restructuring which will create a Group Financial Controller vacancy. This individual will then spend the next 18 months developing the infrastructure, getting to know the business ready to make the step up into Finance Director position.

From day one you will oversee all group reporting, the preparation and presentation of the monthly financials. You will manage a team that will handle the day to day freeing up your time to work closely with the senior management team on analysing group performance. This will also involve budgeting & forecasting and then managing expectations across the group.

You will be expected to take a lead in the implementation and development of the controls and reporting infrastructure. This will be heavily project focused and you will be expected to provide leadership and direction on these projects. A commercial and strategic individual is essential.

The ideal individual will be a qualified chartered accountant with significant PQE experience in industry. Having had roles at Group level or within a listed business would be seen as beneficial but not essential. The personality and character of the individual will be what separates candidates as you will need to demonstrate that you are a Group Finance Director in waiting.

It's an exciting, dynamic and diverse business that is looking to expand its global footprint over the next 12-24 months. There are defined progression plans and excellent compensation on offer.
