My client is looking for an outstanding HR Business Partner, both hands on and strategic. Someone with a genuine passion for L&D and Talent Management but who also is a true HR Generalist.
The successful candidate will be one of the two HR BP's in a firm which believes HR should work alongside the business rather than act as a support or administrative function. You will have exposure from the founding partner down and be given the opportunity to be influential in how the business develops.
Good HR is already in place but there is a desire to make things even better, especially in the L&D and Talent Management areas.
This is a full generalist HR BP role so you will be expected to have proven HR skills across the board. There are many people with the right skillset on paper. What is less common is the attitude, depth of experience, ability to make decisions, carry things through to completion and be able to back up what you say when vigorously challenged.
In return you will be working in possibly one of the most successful firms of its kind and will be extremely well rewarded in terms of base salary, percentage bonus and other benefits.
The right candidate could have as little as 7 years’ experience within HR but is more likely to have around 10. This is a Business Partner position and not a Head Of or Deputy Head of, so Business Partnering is what you must love doing.
You could come from any industry but a knowledge of financial services products would be helpful. Technology sector knowledge might also be a close match.
A degree is not essential but being intelligent and quick witted is an absolute must. You must also be able look the part as well as talk the talk.
Most importantly, my Client will be looking for people with the relevent amount of experience with only 2 or three jobs. Someone who has moved around too much or not at all will not be considered.
This is one of the most challenging HR BP roles at this level in London but also one of the most rewarding.
